How long have you been a makeup artist?
9 years.
Your Brand, Your Art. What inspired you to become an MUA?
My love for enhancing beauty that is already there and reminding others that true beauty is the person God made you to be.
What’s one makeup myth you wish people would stop believing?
Makeup does not make you beautiful. It only enhances how you see and feel about yourself.
What sets your brand apart from every other MUA out there?
I put my clients before myself most times. I truly believe every appointment is a purposeful meeting, so I always endeavour to do and be my best.
What has been your biggest business win so far?
Winning Bridal Makeup Artist of the Year 2024.
What’s the one makeup product you could never live without?

What’s been your biggest lesson as a makeup artist?
Do not compare yourself. There is a reason why I am in this space and there is value I can add to the industry. Believing in yourself is not a taboo. I am allowed to believe in myself, set the bar high, and watch my goals get achieved even if nobody else is rooting for me. God is with me every step of the way.

Do you have any upcoming projects or plans you’re excited about?
Yes, I am working on my own products currently but that is all I can say.
Since sharing that response, Deji Rachel has officially launched her brand. Her first release is a sixteen-shade eyeshadow palette created for both beginners and professional artists.
